What will you learn?
Renewable energy is the future, but what is it? We’ll learn all about what renewable energy is, the different types, how it can be used and why it is disruptive. If you're thinking of building a home off the grid, then we’ll cover options available and delve into the world of solar power, looking at how technology has changed and where it is headed. We’ll also look at what you can be doing at home to be energy efficient and create a healthy environment with some easy and helpful tips, plus we’ll look at electric cars and what’s coming up for them.
Who will be teaching?
Kristy Hoare is the owner and operator of two online platforms, MySolarQuotes.co.nz and Ecobob.co.nz, she has a passion for protecting the environment as well as an interest in future technologies. Kristy's main passion is solar power. Having worked in the solar power industry for 8 years she has gained a wealth of knowledge and a willingness to share her expertise on everything solar.
Nik Gregg is co-founder of Sustainability Options, a sustainability focused business, promoting sustainable living solutions and advocating for sustainable living principles to businesses and home owners. Nik is also a Homestar assessor and advisor to the Bay of Plenty regional energy strategy.
Kristy and Nik both have a passion for the environment, renewable energy solutions and education.
