You will have the opportunity to experience a greater connection and appreciation for the environment by learning the principles of Rongoā Māori - traditional Māori Medicine. Which encompasses herbal remedies, physical therapies such as massage/mirimiri and spiritual healing.
You will then delve deeper into rakau rongoā, plant based medicine, by learning about NZ plants found locally and how to identify them. The do’s, don’ts and whys of harvesting, storage and preparing them for use at home.
You will then have the opportunity to use easily found local plants to create your own medicine; sunscreen, insect repellant and more.
